Our proposal

Only five percent of the playing field area will be used to build the school. The school building will also include a new multi-use games area for the school and community to share outside of school hours.

The school building has been designed to be two storeys, with the aim of minimising the footprint area.

Community Benefits

The Education Funding Agency has now submitted an offer, on behalf of The Heights Primary School Trust, to the Charitable Trust that own Mapledurham Playing Fields.

All feedback was taken into account when preparing the offer, including what community benefits local people considered to be the most important. As such, an offer was made which will enable the Charitable Trust to make some much needed improvements to the sports and leisure facilities on the site, including, for example, the repair and reopening of the pavilion and improved football pitch facilities.

This sits alongside the already planned Multi Use Games Area, suitable for five a side football, netball and cricket practice and the school hall, suitable for meetings and activities such as yoga and aerobics, both of which will be available for community use outside of school hours.
